Over a span of 10 years at McGraw Hill, I had the privilege of leading the design of K-12 textbook covers, where my team won the Book Binders Guild Cover Design award for six consecutive years. I was responsible for orchestrating the design and production of textbooks, packaging, and marketing collateral, consistently improving product quality and streamlining processes.

I conceptualized and delivered engaging cover designs, working closely with illustrators and creating adaptable templates for both print and digital products. My focus on process optimization resulted in a 20% increase in efficiency, significantly reducing delivery times without sacrificing quality.

In addition to the print materials, I was also deeply involved in creating complementary digital resources. This meant collaborating with product developers to ensure the design was not only visually engaging but also aligned with the functionality and usability requirements of the digital platforms. This role led to me switching focus in my career to usability research, User Experience Design, and User Interface Design later on.

Each year at McGraw Hill, the subject titles my team worked on evolved, and with each transition, my role expanded to include the entire suite of educational materials for each title. For every new subject or grade level, I was responsible for ensuring that the design vision was carried through across all products within that title, which included the student editions, teacher editions, workbooks, study aids, and marketing materials.
