Guiding Innovation
One Sprint at a Time.
One Sprint at a Time.
Over the years, I have designed and moderated various workshops of many size. I thrive to bring people together, keep them engaged and motivated all the while progressing collaboratively, in order to identify, understand, ideate and define what needs to be designed/solved for.
There isn't a one-way to engage in some design-thinking efforts, however, with my many years designing for education, I have fine-tuned a fool-proof framework that time and time again, has helped us move through the motions keeping up with Instructional Design evolution.
Maintaining our personas of students, teachers, superintendents, and parents, as well as always being up-to-date with the learning sciences department, this shared knowledge allowed us to get into the next steps efficiently.
I oversee and coordinate design efforts across a multitude of projects and channels. Ensuring that assets and workflows are always in sync keeping on task and making sure there is a natural focus towards design thinking and creative problem-solving. I tackle all projects as an opportunity to innovate and align with the business goals and strategies
Design Sprint Moderation
I played a crucial role in facilitating and guiding the design sprint process.
• Understand goals, define problems, organize logistics, and manage schedule
• Foster an environment where members feel comfortable to express ideas and explore concepts, and facilitate collaborative discussion.
• Manage Card sorting and survey exercises to identify pain points, understand user mental model, and improve the information architecture.
• Synthesize data, Communicate results, plan progress and next steps.
Prototype Development
I create quick sketches communicating an idea, build lo-fidelity mock-ups, or hi-fidelty interactive stimuli depending on the need and problem of the specific project. These prototypes allow me to gather user feedback early on and provides insights before investing significant resources in development.
Reduce development costs
User feedback
validation of design decisions
communicate with stakeholders
flow and navigation testing
risk mitigation
cross-functional collaboration
Visual Design
The design and user interface plays a crucial role in the user's experience by influencing how they perceive and interact with a product or interface. Research may involve studying how users emotionally respond to different visual elements, colors, and styles. Positive emotional experiences can enhance user satisfaction and engagement.
