This project, titled "SOLO GIGOLOS" explored the concepts of reflection, symmetry, and the palindromic principle through photographic manipulation. The methodology involved photographing everyday objects and then reflecting the resulting image along their central axes—two horizontal and two vertical—to create a complex, radially symmetrical composition.
The core objective was to transform a singular, often asymmetric, image into a final piece with perfect radial symmetry. This transformation was designed to visually represent the abstract qualities of a palindrome: a form that reads the same forward and backward, upside down and right side up where a central point acts as a pivot for perfect structural echoing. The resulting artworks transcend a simple photograph, becoming intricate, mandala-like patterns that force the viewer to reconsider the original object and its new, balanced identity.
