Crafting clarity through design, I specialize in transforming complex concepts into visually engaging, user-friendly graphics. From technical visuals to intricate user flows, my work bridges the gap between data and understanding, ensuring that every audience can see the bigger picture at a glance.

I collaborated closely with a team of researchers to gather data on English Language Learners (ELLs) in middle school, focusing on their academic performance, language proficiency, and social integration. We utilized surveys, classroom observations, and academic records to collect comprehensive data. After synthesizing the findings, I translated them into visually engaging charts that highlighted key trends and insights. These charts were designed to effectively communicate the data in a clear, accessible way for a presentation, ensuring the audience could quickly grasp the challenges and needs of ELL students.

I conducted a card sorting study with teachers to develop an information architecture diagram for an online learning system. Teachers were asked to categorize and label various content types based on their natural organizational preferences. The results revealed patterns that guided the creation of an intuitive IA diagram, reflecting the teachers’ workflows. The diagram was iterated and refined through feedback and usability testing to ensure the system’s navigation would be user-friendly and aligned with their needs.

I collaborated with an author and thought leader to create infographics and charts for his book, website, and conference talks. Working closely with him, I translated complex concepts into visually compelling and easy-to-understand visuals. I ensured the designs were cohesive across all platforms, adapting them for the book’s layout, web content, and presentations. Throughout the process, I incorporated his feedback to refine the visuals, ensuring they effectively communicated his ideas while maintaining a professional and engaging aesthetic for each medium.

I worked closely with subject matter experts, editors, and instructional designers to communicate the complex and dynamic ecosystem of a classroom learning day. By collaborating with these teams, I gained insights into key instructional processes, student engagement strategies, and classroom interactions. I then distilled this information into clear, visually engaging content that effectively captured the nuances of a classroom environment. This collaborative effort ensured that the final materials accurately represented the multi-faceted nature of teaching and learning, providing a comprehensive view of the daily experience for educators and learners alike.
